Check a page

No API key, no account, no signup. The free checker is open.

Read the score first

score is 0–100, weighted by consequence rather than by counting tags. A missing og:image costs far more than a missing og:locale, because one of them changes whether anybody clicks the link.

Then read the issues

Each issue tells you what is wrong and what to paste:
fix is null for issues where no snippet can be correct without knowing your content — a title that is too short cannot be fixed by a generic string.

Parameters

Check the response, not just the status

A page that returns 404 or 503 is reported as an error rather than scored as an empty document:
A checker that scored an error page would report “16 tags missing” for a site that is simply down. Always branch on error before reading score. See errors for every code.

Rate limits

Fifty checks an hour without an account, keyed by IP. Every response carries the current state:
Signing in raises it to 100 an hour and moves the budget from your network to your account. Full table.
